Modernization of a ZEISS LEO 1530 for thyssenkrupp Steel Europe AG in Duisburg.

To bring the scanning electron microscope back into operation quickly and efficiently, our team carried out a complete point electronic GmbH SEM Modernization for the Materials Testing (Werkstoffprüfung) department at thyssenkrupp Steel last year.

By replacing the legacy electronics with modern high-performance hardware and software from point electronic GmbH, the LEO 1530 is now fully serviceable again and ready for reliable use in demanding materials analysis applications.

Also, three already existing detectors were fully integrated into the modernized SEM setup (SE, InLens, BSE).

The modernized SEM supports the Materials Testing team in their daily analytical work, contributing to quality assurance and advanced material characterization in steel production.
