Installation, commissioning, and maintenance of control devices for electron microscopes

These are your tasks:

  • Installation, commissioning, maintenance, and repair of electron microscopy systems (SEM/TEM) and associated hardware and software components
  • Implementation of system modernizations, retrofits, and technical upgrades
  • Analysis and troubleshooting of malfunctions
  • Diagnosis of vacuum, high-voltage, detector, and imaging problems
  • Performing preventive maintenance as well as safety- and function-related inspections
  • Instruction and training of users and technical staff
  • Preparation of service reports and technical recommendations for action

This is what defines you:

  • You have a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, mechatronics, physics, or a related technical field; alternatively, you have completed a related vocational training program.
  • You have in-depth knowledge of electronics, electrical engineering, and measurement technology.
  • Experience with electron microscopes, vacuum technology, high-voltage systems, or scientific instruments is a plus.
  • You are proficient in working with circuit diagrams, technical drawings, and service documentation.
  • You have experience in the systematic analysis and repair of complex technical systems.
  • You have basic knowledge of mechanics, pneumatics, network technology, as well as hardware and software.
  • You hold a Class B driver’s license (ideally also a commercial driver’s license).
  • You are willing to undertake service calls within the Germany/Austria/Switzerland region, including possible overnight stays.
  • You work carefully and conscientiously, possess manual dexterity, and maintain a customer-oriented demeanor, both on-site and over the phone.
  • In addition to basic computer skills, you also have a good command of English.
