SEM Modernization for the KIT Institute
Successful Modernization of a ZEISS LEO 1530 Electron Microscope for the Karlsruhe Institut für Technologie (KIT)

Our team has installed a point electronic SEM Modernization at the Institute of Nanotechnology of the KIT in Leopoldshafen. The group focuses on nanofabrication and electron-beam lithography, for which the electron microscope is used.
KIT opted for the modernization because the electronic column of the SEM was still in very good condition even after 25 years of operation.
“We chose point electronic because the modernization with their powerful electronics will make our device usable for years to come - and with modern software that significantly enhances the device,” told us Ralph Krupke, Research Unit Chair at the Institute of Nanotechnology (INT). The deinstallation and the installation went according to plan and he and his team were very satisfied with the result.
We thank the KIT team and wish them successful scientific exploration and discovery with the modernized device.
